CLAT Application Form 2020 window has been opened by National Law University Consortium of NLUs on January 1, 2020. The application form will be available online. Candidates, who are looking forward to take admission in the undergraduate or postgraduate law programmes, must fill up the CLAT Application Form 2020 as soon as it is available in the online mode. Before filling up the application form, candidates will have to register themselves for the examination. After their CLAT 2020 registration is done, candidates will receive a User ID and password. These credentials will further be used for filling up and tracking their application status, admit card, result and even during the counselling process. If candidates wish to partially fill up the application form, they can avail this opportunity as well. They will be required to provide a few details like name, father’s name, age, qualifying institutes, photograph and signature while filling up the CLAT 2020 application form. As they fill up the application form, they will have to remit the application form fee for CLAT 2020. Candidates must enter all the details very carefully as once they submit the application form; they will not be allowed to make any changes. It is advised to the candidates that they go through the eligibility criteria before applying for the CLAT 2020. CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2020
To apply for the CLAT 2020, candidates must fulfil the CLAT 2020 eligibility criteria as prescribed by the CLAT committee. Candidates, who are applying for undergraduate law programme, will have to score a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in their intermediate. Candidates, who are applying for the postgraduate law programme, must obtain 55% marks in their UG law degree.
Steps to Fill Up the Application Form 2020
CLAT Registration 2020
To fill up the application form, candidates will first have to go through the CLAT 2020 registration process. They need to have a valid e-mail ID as well as mobile number. They will have to visit the official website and choose “Click Here for New Registration”. Then they would need to enter details like Name, E-mail ID and Mobile Number. A provisional Registration number and Password will be generated by the system for them. An e-mail and SMS having the provisional Registration number and Password will be sent to the candidates.
Filling the Application Form Online
Candidates must visit the official website and log into it by entering the provisional Registration number and Password. Candidates will have to enter as well as choose details in the application form such as UG/PG category, Programme applying for, Gender, Nationality, University category, Preference of exam city, Personal details, Educational details and Preference of NLU.
Uploading of Photograph and Signature
Candidates would have to upload the scanned images of their latest passport size photograph and signature. The size of the photograph should be between 10KB-50KB and the signature should be between 10KB to 20KB.
Checking the Application Form
Candidates need to make sure that they check the application form after they fill it up and before they submit it. They must know that once they submit the application form, they cannot make any changes into it.
Paying the Application Fee
After submitting the application form, candidates would be required to pay the application fee. They can make the payment through various modes like Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ Mobile Payment App.

Confirmation of Application
After the candidates successfully submit the application form, they will receive a confirmation mail in their E-mail ID and SMS in the mobile number that they provided during the registration process.
